A must see place in Bulgaria ! Situated in the picturesque mountains near Plovdiv ,the beautiful monastery brings you back in time with its hand made structure and icons! I am so happy I’ve visited that jewel of Bulgarian history!

A beautiful monastery worth visiting but the highlight was the paintings from Anelia Pavlova!! Vibrant, colorful and mysterious themes around Christianity.

It was a great experience to visit the monastery, a lot of history to learn, and highly recommended to visit. Try to visit on weekdays because it gets busy on weekends

Gorgeous monastery. Every inch of the church walls are coveted in hand paint. The walls are dark but illuminate with gold paint. It's a wonderful feeling. The trees are unique and old. The courtyards ate ancient and we'll kept. You feel tremendous peace being here.

Very popular, at least on WE. Parking is available for a small amount. Bazaar with wood craft and several eateries on the path to monastry. Few birds in large cages.
